Chairman’s Chat for the New Year 2025

Hello fellow members and Happy new year from the anglia Committee and Myself.

With a new year started and the rallies being bookable from the 12th of January at 12 noon to Teresa,  Anglia will be in a good place for the start of another year.

With a new Committee that was learning the ropes last year with little experience or help from the experienced our Secretary Sandra did a fantastic job at getting the year Rally book together and adding extra Advertisers to make it profitable than before.

The Treasurer Keith B did a great Job at pricing the venues with the help of the Rally Officer Teresa  that had found all the new and some old venues for us to use at a good price.

With the Christmas Rally being a great success again with the Chef doing a great three course dinner for 102 members, we had a whip round and collected over £130.00 for the waitresses to show our appreciation for their hard work. We look forward to this year again at Sheringham for our Christmas dinner with the Chef repeating the success we have had for the last two years.

The New Year Rally being another great success with a record number of vans at Terrington we had lots of food to fill some hungry appetites, with lots of food still left over nobody went home hungry. 

We had a Disco ( Roadshow ) this year as a trial and it was very much liked so much that our Rally Officer has rebooked them for 2026. 

Anglia as a group are hoping to have a good year again and hope the weather plays A good part in making that come true. If you would like to help Run a Rally then just add your name to the notice board under the rally you would like to run.

As we start the planning for 2026 Rallies we have to be a year ahead. Our Rally Officer is looking for new Venues if anyone knows of any then please contact Teresa with the details for her to investigate with the rules and regs etc.

This year, with the National being in a great Venue it should be well worth going for the members with plenty to do on site We as a group are hoping that we have a good attendance of Anglia members this year and help with the event being a success, as numbers have dropped over the years. 

Anglia as a group are hoping to have a good year again and hope the weather plays A good part in making that come true, I hope to see most of you, the members of MCC, at a Rally sometime over the year ahead at an Anglia Rally or another Groups Rally that we may attend as guests.
